The ultralight Mohawk XS is the light wind sibling of the standard MXS, bringing the wind range down to approximately 4 to 12 km/h. Careful reframing and alterations to the sail design mean that the MXS UL maintain the familiar "MXS feel" and comprehensive trickability for those days of low wind. The kite offers lovely flatspin-based moves such as the 540 and mutli-slot-machine, yet retains enough pitch for one-pop yoyos, and can still be flown aggressively due to its robust frame.
The Mohawk XS was originally designed by Robert Randolph and is now made by Sportkitedesign under license.
